As you may have heard in the news, the Norovirus, or Winter Vomiting Virus, is spreading through the country. The virus causes sudden vomiting and diarrhoea and is affecting over 100,000 people a week, with the number of cases set to peak this month. Although it is impossible to prevent infection, the Health Protection Agency advises that by employing good hand hygiene and disinfecting contaminated areas where someone is violently sick you can limit the spread of the virus.
